335: Non-Hierarchical Adaptive Responses

KMO talks with James “Chris Bunny” Fields, of Bunny Goat Farm about co-ordinating disaster relief outside of the context of established and self-perpetuating hierarchical structures. They also consider the role that Occupy Wall Street is playing on the ground in the wake of super-storm Sandy. Later, KMO talks with Gil Lopez of Nourishing Cities. Gil will be the featured speaker at the second Full Circle Series speaking event at the Hort, and he talks to KMO about the potential for the storm to open up a teachable moment in which important but normally ignored ideas about the relationship of urban populations to food production can influence people who would not normally engage in that sort of converesation.
