So PodOmatic seems to be back to it's normal self. That means slow and cantankerous, but basically predictable. I've created a Feedburner account. That's supposed to give me some extra insurance against crashes like this most recent fiasco from PodOmatic as well as some useful tools for managing the podcast.

  • Double dose of leftovers?

    Hey KMO,

Not actually back to normal just yet.

I haven’t got Episode 60 appearing in the feed (on iTunes). Just to be sure I re-subscribed to the feed and also found that the archive (on the feed) is incomplete. A lot of recent episodes aren’t there, notably 55-58.

“Episode 59” was the most recent one, but was dated 18/10 so I thought you might have inadvertently used the same tags for the new episode. But on download I found that instead, it’s a 2 hour episode, featuring Episode 59 twice in a row!

Haven’t checked, because I do prefer to keep all my podcasts in the podcast folder of my iPod and that’s only possible by downloading as a podcast through iTunes.

So I’ll look forward to it getting sorted out, soonish hopefully.

Are you sure it was a double 59 and not a double 60?

Perhaps you recorded episode 60 as an exact re-enactment of 59? It was eerily familiar.

But as I said it was titled Episode #59: Reflexive Memebots, so twas as promised.

Have you checked the feed file yourself? Am I the only one getting this problem? I got correct updates from other podcasts just now, so I’m guessing podOmatic is still not entirely back in order.
