533: Talking Libertarianism

KMO, a "recovering libertarian," talks with Joshua D. Glawson, a full-on libertarian and writer for 71 Republic. Topics of conversation include the way NPR has covered the most recent mass shooting event, the way governments appeal to the less noble aspects of human psychology in order to gain and maintain political power, and, eventually, technological unemployment. KMO mentions, but then fails to detail the ways in which libertarian ideology no longer fits his psyche as comfortably as it once did. That can be the topic for the follow-up conversation. KMO swiped the cover art image from this site.

532: Election 2018

Joshua D. Glawson at Politicon 2018

It is election day, 2018. Political and partisan tensions are high, and voter turnout looks to be high as well. In this episode, KMO shares conversations with Vermont's Lt. Governor, David Zuckerman, libertarian writer Joshua D. Glawson, and political commentator Steve Lamb. KMO also riffs on ideas lifted from the writing of Caitlan Johnstone and Yuval Noah Harari to consider the idea that Democracy's limitations are not necessarily flaws.

CRV 316

KMO talks with long-time friend of the C-Realm, Kevin D. Kevin lives in Pittsburgh very near the Tree of Life Synagogue, so you can probably guess where the conversation STARTS. From there it widens to include many regular C-Realm topics like AI and it's effects on the capitalist arrangement of society. Two books that KMO has read/listened to recently, Red Moon by Kim Stanley Robinson and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari figure prominently in the latter half of the conversation.

CRV 315

This one is about the likelihood that the people who have had their corpses frozen will ever be brought back to life. Some say "Yay" others "Nay." Some say that you've got nothing to lose, that the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work and you just stay dead like everyone else. But maybe not. There are some fates much worse than death.

531: Nietzsche Among the Aliens

KMO will be introducing Frederich Nietzsche as a character in the GEBB.io webcomic, and so he talked with Daniel Coffeen to get a better idea of what this dyspeptic critic of herd mentality was all about. Gagging on the foul air of off-gassing normies? This conversation may be just the struck wooden match needed to clear out the stench. Thanks to Doug Lain of Zero Books for hookup.
